About the Role
Our client is seeking a creative and detail-oriented Architectural Designer to join their growing practice in Durban . This role focuses on the intersection of architecture and urban planning, contributing to the development of cohesive and functional urban spaces. You will be involved in projects that shape the city's landscape, translating complex urban concepts into tangible architectural designs. Key Responsibilities
- Develop conceptual designs and master plans for urban development projects.
- Prepare detailed architectural drawings, renderings, and presentations for client and public review.
- Coordinate with city planners, engineers, and other consultants to ensure integrated project development.
- Research and apply best practices in urban design, public space development, and landscape architecture.
- Contribute to design documentation, including specifications and reports for planning applications.
- Assist senior architects and urban planners in all project phases.
Requirements
- Degree in Architecture, Urban Design, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in architectural design, with a focus on urban planning or master planning.
- Proficiency in design software such as Rhino , Grasshopper, AutoCAD, and Adobe Suite.
- Understanding of urban planning principles, zoning regulations, and South African planning frameworks.
- Strong visual communication and graphic presentation skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage project tasks effectively.
