Financial Accountant

About the Role

Our client is looking for a seasoned Financial Accountant to enhance their finance operations in Nelspruit . This role is central to ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial reporting, as well as supporting strategic financial planning. You will manage key accounting processes, including financial statement preparation, general ledger management, and regulatory compliance. Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements according to IFRS.


• Manage the general ledger, ensuring accurate and timely recording of all transactions.


• Oversee and execute month-end and year-end closing procedures efficiently.


• Conduct detailed financial analysis, identifying trends and variances, and providing explanations.


• Ensure compliance with all relevant tax regulations and statutory requirements.


• Collaborate with internal and external auditors during financial audits.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CA(SA) , ACCA , or equivalent professional qualification is essential.


• Minimum of 4 years of experience in financial accounting, with strong knowledge of IFRS.


• Proficiency in accounting software such as SAP or Oracle, and advanced Excel skills.


• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking abilities.


• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective stakeholder engagement.


• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a hybrid setting.
