Radio Frequency (RF) Engineer

About the Role

Our client in Klerksdorp is seeking a highly skilled Radio Frequency (RF) Engineer to contribute to the design, development, and optimization of wireless communication systems. This hybrid role allows for a balance of on-site work, crucial for equipment testing and deployment in North West , and remote work for analysis and design tasks. You will be at the forefront of developing innovative RF solutions that enhance our network performance and expand our coverage. The ideal candidate is passionate about RF technologies, possesses strong analytical skills, and is eager to work within a forward-thinking engineering team dedicated to advancing telecommunications.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and test RF systems, including antennas, transmitters, and receivers.
• Analyze RF signal propagation, interference, and network performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.
• Conduct site surveys and feasibility studies for new RF installations and network upgrades.
• Troubleshoot RF-related issues, perform diagnostic tests, and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with hardware and software engineers to integrate RF components into larger systems.
• Stay updated with the latest RF technologies, standards, and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• Master's or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field with an RF specialization.
• Proven experience in RF system design, analysis, and testing.
• Proficiency with RF simulation and design software (e.g., ANSYS HFSS, Keysight ADS).
• Strong understanding of wireless communication standards (e.g., LTE, 5G, Wi-Fi).
• Experience with spectrum analyzers, signal generators, and network analyzers.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and a systematic approach to technical challenges.
