Senior Network Engineer - Infrastructure

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Network Engineer to join their IT infrastructure team in East London. This role is critical for designing, implementing, and maintaining robust, secure, and high‑performing network infrastructure that supports the organization’s operations. You will work with a diverse range of networking technologies and play a key role in ensuring network stability and reliability. Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage enterprise‑level network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, and Wi‑Fi solutions.


• Configure and maintain network devices such as routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers.


• Monitor network performance, identify bottlenecks, and troubleshoot network issues proactively.


• Develop and implement network security measures to protect against cyber threats.


• Plan and execute network upgrades and migrations, minimizing downtime.


• Collaborate with IT teams to ensure network infrastructure aligns with business requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.


• 5+ years of experience in network engineering, with a focus on enterprise network design and management.


• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, routing protocols (e.g., OSPF, BGP), and network security principles.


• Experience with network monitoring tools and network automation techniques.


• Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent are highly desirable.


• Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment in East London.
