About the Role


Our client, a leading aviation services provider, is seeking a skilled Aircraft Maintenance Technician specializing in avionics to join their dynamic team in Midrand . This critical role involves maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing the complex electronic systems of various aircraft to ensure airworthiness and operational safety. You will be an integral part of a dedicated maintenance crew, contributing to the reliability and performance of a diverse fleet, upholding the highest standards of aviation maintenance within a facility committed to excellence and continuous improvement in safety protocols.


Key Responsibilities



  • Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on aircraft avionics systems, including navigation, communication, and flight control systems.

  • Diagnose and repair faults using diagnostic equipment, technical manuals, and troubleshooting procedures.

  • Interpret engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, and technical publications for avionics systems.

  • Ensure all maintenance activities comply with stringent aviation regulations and company policies.

  • Document all maintenance actions accurately in the aircraft logbooks and maintenance records.


Requirements



  • Trade qualification in Avionics or equivalent certification (e.g., EASA Part 66).

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as an Avionics Technician in an MRO or airline environment.

  • Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing complex avionics systems.

  • Strong understanding of aviation safety standards and regulatory compliance.

  • Ability to read and interpret technical documentation and schematics.
