Key Responsibilities

• Lead the research and development of new mechanical technologies, components, and systems, from ideation through to proof-of-concept and prototype validation.
• Conduct in-depth theoretical and experimental investigations into novel design concepts, materials, and manufacturing processes.
• Develop detailed specifications, design concepts, and engineering analyses using advanced CAD and simulation tools to assess feasibility and performance.
• Create and oversee the fabrication of prototypes, conduct rigorous testing, and analyze results to drive design improvements and validate innovation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D scientists, software engineers, and product managers, in a remote setting to ensure alignment and successful project outcomes.
• Document research findings, technical reports, and intellectual property disclosures, presenting insights to internal stakeholders and technical committees.

Requirements

• Ph.D. or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Applied Physics, or a related advanced technical field.
• Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in R&D, focusing on mechanical design, innovation, and new technology development.
• Demonstrated expertise in advanced mechanical analysis, rapid prototyping techniques, and experimental design.
• Proficiency with advanced CAD/CAE software and data analysis tools.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills, creativity, and a strong drive for innovation.
• Proven ability to work effectively in a fully remote, collaborative environment, managing complex R&D projects independently.
