Senior Subsea Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking an accomplished Senior Subsea Engineer to join their leading offshore operations team based in Polokwane. This role is pivotal in the design, installation, and maintenance of subsea production systems for deepwater projects within the energy sector. You will be responsible for ensuring the integrity and operational efficiency of subsea equipment, from wellheads to surface facilities. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, engineering, and procurement of subsea hardware, including trees, manifolds, and umbilical systems.
• Develop installation procedures and oversee the execution of subsea construction and commissioning campaigns.
• Perform integrity management and risk assessments for subsea assets.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinry teams including drilling, production, and marine operations.
• Manage subsea projects, ensuring adherence to budget, schedule, and quality standards.
• Provide technical expertise and support for troubleshooting and operational issues related to subsea systems.

Requirements

• Minimum of 8 years of experience in subsea engineering, with a strong focus on offshore oil and gas projects.
• Proven expertise in subsea system design, fabrication, installation, and operation.
• Solid understanding of relevant industry standards and codes (e.g., API, DNV).
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Naval Architecture, or a related discipline.
• Excellent project management, leadership, and communication skills.
