About the Role

Our client is looking for a dedicated Drilling Engineer to join their operational support team in Rustenburg . This role is crucial for the safe, efficient, and cost-effective execution of drilling campaigns in the oil and gas sector . You will be responsible for planning, designing, and supervising drilling operations, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and environmental standards. Key Responsibilities

• Plan and design well programs, including casing design, cementing, and directional drilling plans.
• Supervise drilling operations on-site, ensuring efficient progress and adherence to safety regulations.
• Monitor drilling performance, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions promptly.
• Manage drilling equipment and logistics, ensuring availability and readiness for operations.
• Conduct post-well analysis to evaluate performance, identify lessons learned, and improve future operations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in drilling engineering, with a strong focus on operational execution.
• Proven experience in directional drilling, well control, and cementing operations.
• Familiarity with drilling fluid technology and its impact on wellbore stability.
• Excellent understanding of oilfield equipment and downhole tools.
• Ability to work effectively in a demanding, fast-paced field environment.
