Bar Manager

About the Role

Our client is looking for an experienced and energetic Bar Manager to oversee the operations of their popular bar and lounge in Polokwane . You will be responsible for managing bar staff, maintaining inventory, ensuring exceptional customer service, and driving sales. This role requires a hands‑on leader with a deep understanding of mixology, beverage management, and creating a vibrant atmosphere for patrons.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of bar operations, including staff scheduling, training, and performance management.
• Develop and maintain an innovative beverage menu, including cocktails, wines, and beers.
• Oversee inventory control, ordering, and stock rotation to minimize waste.
• Ensure compliance with all liquor licensing laws and health and safety regulations.
• Provide exceptional customer service, handling guest inquiries and resolving issues effectively.
• Create a welcoming and engaging atmosphere for guests.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Bar Manager or Assistant Bar Manager.
• Strong knowledge of mixology, spirits, wine, and beer.
• Experience with inventory management and cost control.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and customer service skills.
• Ability to manage a team and work under pressure.
• Relevant certifications in hospitality and responsible alcohol service are required for this role in Polokwane .
