Early Childhood Development (ECD) Facilitator

About the Role

Our client is seeking a nurturing and enthusiastic Early Childhood Development (ECD) Facilitator for their center in Benoni . This role is dedicated to creating a stimulating and safe environment for young children, focusing on their holistic development – cognitive, social, emotional, and physical. You will plan and implement age-appropriate activities, encourage exploration and creativity, and build positive relationships with children and their families. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone passionate about laying the foundation for lifelong learning in young children.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, play-based learning activities that promote child development across all domains.
• Create a stimulating, safe, and nurturing classroom environment that encourages exploration and curiosity.
• Observe and assess children's progress, documenting developmental milestones and identifying any areas needing extra support.
• Communicate regularly with parents regarding their child's development, well-being, and engagement.
• Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of all children under your care, adhering to established policies and procedures.
• Foster positive social interactions among children and guide them in developing self-help skills.

Requirements

• A recognized qualification in Early Childhood Development (ECD) or a related field.
• Previous experience working with young children in an ECD setting.
• A deep understanding of child development principles and age-appropriate practices.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and observational skills.
• Patience, creativity, and a genuine passion for working with young children.
• First Aid certification is advantageous.
