About the Role


Our client is seeking a highly skilled Aerospace Mechanical Engineer to contribute to groundbreaking projects in the aviation and space sector, based in Upington . This hybrid role offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge technologies, balancing collaborative on-site work with remote flexibility. You will be involved in the design, analysis, and testing of mechanical systems and components for aerospace applications, ensuring the highest standards of performance, safety, and reliability. This position is ideal for engineers passionate about pushing the boundaries of aerospace technology.


Key Responsibilities



  • Design and develop complex mechanical components and systems for aerospace applications, such as structures, mechanisms, and thermal management systems.

  • Perform advanced engineering analysis, including stress analysis , thermal analysis, and fatigue life prediction, using specialized software.

  • Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, including aerodynamicists, structural analysts, and systems engineers, throughout the product development lifecycle.

  • Create detailed technical documentation, including CAD models, drawings, specifications, and test procedures.

  • Support the testing, validation, and qualification of aerospace hardware and systems.

  • Troubleshoot design issues and implement effective solutions to meet stringent performance requirements.


Requirements



  • Master's degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering .

  • 5+ years of experience in mechanical design and analysis within the aerospace industry.

  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., CATIA, SolidWorks) and FEA tools (e.g., ANSYS, NASTRAN).

  • Strong understanding of aerospace materials, manufacturing processes, and industry standards.

  • Experience with thermal analysis and fluid dynamics simulations relevant to aerospace applications.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative, hybrid environment.
