About the Role
Our client is seeking a skilled Project Electrical Engineer to join their team in Polokwane , working on diverse infrastructure and industrial projects. This role involves managing electrical aspects of projects from conception through to completion, ensuring designs are practical, cost-effective, and adhere to all regulatory requirements. You will coordinate with contractors, stakeholders, and internal teams to deliver projects successfully. This is a key position for an engineer who can manage multiple priorities and contribute to the development and modernization of infrastructure in the Limpopo province.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the electrical engineering aspects of assigned projects, ensuring timely and budget-conscious completion.
- Develop project scopes, technical specifications, and tender documentation for electrical works.
- Review and approve electrical designs submitted by contractors and consultants.
- Oversee site installations, inspections, and commissioning of electrical systems.
- Ensure adherence to all relevant safety standards, codes, and regulations throughout the project lifecycle.
- Liaise with clients, government authorities, and other stakeholders to facilitate project progress.
- Prepare project progress reports and manage project documentation effectively.
Requirements
- BEng or BSc in Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in project engineering , preferably in infrastructure or industrial sectors.
- Demonstrated experience in project management methodologies and electrical project execution .
- Strong understanding of power systems, distribution networks, and building electrical services.
- Proficiency in project management software and CAD tools .
- Excellent leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
