Senior Production Supervisor

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Production Supervisor to oversee operations at their manufacturing facility in Pietermaritzburg. Key Responsibilities

• Supervise daily production activities, ensuring targets for output, quality, and efficiency are met.
• Lead, train, and motivate a team of production operators and line leaders to achieve optimal performance.
• Implement and enforce stringent quality control measures and safety protocols throughout the production process.
• Monitor production schedules, manage inventory levels, and address any operational bottlenecks promptly.
• Collaborate with maintenance and engineering teams to ensure equipment is well-maintained and operational.
• Analyze production data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Production Supervisor or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes , lean manufacturing principles, and quality management systems.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and production reports.
• Familiarity with relevant health and safety regulations.
• A degree or diploma in Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field is advantageous.
