About the Role

Our client is looking for a results-driven Strategic Sourcer to join their procurement team in Bloemfontein . This role focuses on identifying, evaluating, and engaging suppliers to secure the best possible terms for goods and services, driving significant cost savings and improving supply chain performance. You will conduct thorough market analysis, lead complex sourcing events, and build collaborative relationships with stakeholders. This hybrid role combines strategic analysis and planning with necessary team collaboration, offering a dynamic work environment in the heart of the Free State province.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute category strategies for key spend areas to achieve optimal value.
• Conduct detailed market research and supplier landscape analysis.
• Lead sourcing processes, including RFx development, supplier evaluation, and negotiation.
• Manage supplier relationships and performance to ensure quality and compliance.
• Identify and mitigate supply chain risks, ensuring business continuity.

Requirements

• Proven experience in strategic sourcing or category management.
• Strong analytical skills and proficiency in cost modeling and total cost of ownership analysis.
• Experience in negotiating complex contracts and managing supplier performance.
• Excellent understanding of supply chain principles and procurement best practices.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related field.
