Social Media Manager (PR & Comms)

About the Role

Our client is seeking a savvy and creative Social Media Manager to drive their public relations and communications strategy through digital channels. Based in Nelspruit with a hybrid work arrangement, you will be responsible for developing and executing engaging social media campaigns that enhance brand visibility, foster community, and support PR objectives. This role requires a deep understanding of social media trends, audience engagement, and content creation that resonates with diverse online communities. You will be instrumental in shaping our digital footprint across Mpumalanga and beyond.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive social media strategy aligned with PR and brand goals.
• Create, curate, and schedule engaging content across various social media platforms (e.g., Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram).
• Monitor social media channels for trends, conversations, and opportunities for engagement.
• Respond to comments, messages, and inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
• Analyze social media performance data and provide regular reports with actionable insights.
• Collaborate with PR and marketing teams to ensure integrated campaign execution.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience managing social media for brands, with a PR focus.
• Proven ability to grow social media followings and engagement rates.
• Excellent written and visual communication skills.
• Proficiency with social media management tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Buffer) and analytics platforms.
• Understanding of PR principles and how they translate to social media.
