Junior E-commerce Analyst

About the Role

Our client is seeking an eager and analytical Junior E-commerce Analyst to join their team based in Stellenbosch. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for individuals passionate about data and its role in driving success in the online retail industry. You will support the e-commerce team by collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data related to website performance, sales trends, and customer behavior. Your insights will help inform strategic decisions to optimize user experience and maximize sales for our Western Cape based e-commerce operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect and analyze data from various sources, including website analytics, sales reports, and customer feedback.
• Assist in tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) such as conversion rates, average order value, and customer acquisition cost.
• Generate regular reports on website traffic, sales trends, and marketing campaign performance.
• Identify patterns and insights to help improve the online customer journey and sales funnels.
• Support the e-commerce team with ad-hoc data analysis requests as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Statistics, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
• Basic understanding of web analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets for data analysis and reporting.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
