About the Role

Our client is looking for a dedicated Industrial Sanitation Specialist to join their manufacturing facility in East London . This crucial role involves maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene within an industrial environment, ensuring the safety of products and personnel. You will be responsible for implementing and overseeing sanitation programs, managing cleaning supplies, performing detailed cleaning of production areas and equipment, and ensuring compliance with all health and safety regulations. Your meticulous approach and understanding of industrial sanitation practices will be vital to the operational success and integrity of the facility.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain industrial sanitation programs and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Perform detailed cleaning and sanitization of production machinery, equipment, and work areas.
• Monitor and control the use of cleaning chemicals and ensure proper dilution and application.
• Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with hygiene and safety standards.
• Manage inventory of sanitation supplies and equipment, ensuring timely replenishment.
• Train and guide production staff on basic sanitation practices and protocols.

Requirements

• Previous experience in industrial sanitation, preferably in a manufacturing or food processing environment.
• Strong knowledge of cleaning chemicals, sanitation equipment, and techniques.
• Understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and HACCP principles.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced industrial setting.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to maintaining strict hygiene standards.
• Physical stamina for performing demanding cleaning tasks.
