About the Role

Our client is seeking an exceptional and innovative Head Chef to lead their culinary team for boutique events in the scenic region of Stellenbosch. You will be responsible for creating bespoke menus, managing all aspects of the kitchen, leading and inspiring a talented brigade, and ensuring the delivery of exquisite dining experiences that align with the brand's premium offerings. This role requires a deep understanding of fine dining, a passion for seasonal and local produce, and strong leadership skills to maintain the highest standards of quality and creativity in a fast-paced, high-end environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the culinary vision and development of unique, high-quality menus for boutique events.
• Manage all kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, plating, and presentation.
• Oversee and mentor a team of talented chefs and kitchen staff, fostering a culture of excellence.
• Ensure rigorous adherence to food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.
• Manage inventory, supplier relationships, and cost control to optimize profitability.

Requirements

• Extensive experience as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef in a fine dining or high-end catering establishment.
• Demonstrated expertise in menu creation, culinary innovation, and seasonal produce.
• Proven leadership and team management capabilities.
