Senior HR Generalist

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly experienced Senior HR Generalist to join their team in George. This role is critical in providing comprehensive HR support across various functions, including employee relations, performance management, recruitment, and HR policy implementation. You will play a key part in fostering a productive and positive work environment, ensuring that HR practices align with the company's strategic goals and values. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of HR principles and practices, with a proven ability to handle complex HR issues effectively, contributing significantly to the smooth operation and growth of the organization in the Western Cape region.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide expert guidance and support on a wide range of HR issues, including employee relations, disciplinary processes, and grievance procedures.
• Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, collaborating with hiring managers to identify and attract qualified candidates.
• Implement and administer HR policies and procedures, ensuring consistency and compliance with relevant legislation.
• Support performance management cycles, including goal setting, reviews, and development planning.
• Contribute to the development and execution of HR initiatives focused on employee engagement and retention.
• Maintain accurate employee records and HR data, ensuring confidentiality and data integrity.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management or a related discipline.
• At least 4 years of experience in a broad HR generalist role.
• In-depth knowledge of South African labor law and industrial relations.
• Strong proficiency in HRIS software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple priorities effectively in George.
