About the Role

Our client is seeking a diligent and organized Logistics Dispatcher to manage and coordinate their transport operations in Polokwane . This role is essential for ensuring the timely and efficient dispatch of vehicles and the smooth flow of goods. You will be the central point of contact for drivers, coordinating schedules, routes, and managing any real-time logistical challenges. This is a key position within the local Driving & Transport sector, contributing to the operational success of the company in the Limpopo province.

Key Responsibilities

• Dispatch drivers and vehicles according to planned routes and schedules.
• Monitor driver activities and vehicle locations in real-time using tracking systems.
• Communicate effectively with drivers to provide instructions, updates, and resolve issues that may arise during transit.
• Receive and process delivery orders, ensuring all details are accurate and assignments are made efficiently.
• Maintain detailed dispatch records, including driver logs, delivery confirmations, and vehicle status.
• Coordinate with warehouse and customer service teams to ensure seamless operations.

Requirements

• Previous experience in dispatching, logistics coordination, or a similar role within Driving & Transport .
• Familiarity with dispatch software and GPS tracking systems is advantageous.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of local routes and geographical areas around Polokwane .
