Senior Chemical Process Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly experienced and innovative Senior Chemical Process Engineer to join their dynamic team. This is a fully remote position, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere while contributing to critical projects. You will be instrumental in designing, optimizing, and troubleshooting complex chemical processes for a variety of industrial applications. This role requires a deep understanding of chemical engineering principles, advanced simulation tools, and a proactive approach to problem‑solving in a collaborative virtual environment. You will play a key role in driving efficiency, safety, and sustainability across our client's operations, working with a diverse team of professionals dedicated to pushing the boundaries of chemical engineering.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize chemical process designs , including PFDs, P&IDs, and equipment specifications.
• Conduct process simulations and modeling using industry-standard software (e.g., Aspen HYSYS, ChemCAD).
• Perform feasibility studies and economic evaluations for new process technologies and plant modifications.
• Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues in existing plants, implementing solutions to improve performance and yield.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant safety, environmental, and regulatory standards in process design and operation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, operations, and project management, in a remote setting.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in process design and optimization within the chemical or petrochemical industry.
• Proficiency in chemical process simulation and data analysis tools.
• Strong understanding of thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, and reaction kinetics.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to thrive in a remote, collaborative team.
• Proven track record of successfully managing complex engineering projects.
