About the Role
Our client is looking for an experienced Commercial Appliance Repair Specialist to serve businesses in the Rustenburg area. In this hybrid role, you will spend significant time on-site at various commercial establishments, diagnosing and repairing a wide range of kitchen and refrigeration equipment. You will also have opportunities to perform remote diagnostic support and administrative tasks from a home office. This position demands a high level of technical expertise, diagnostic acumen, and the ability to provide excellent customer service to business owners and managers. You will be instrumental in ensuring our clients' operations run smoothly by keeping their essential appliances in optimal working condition, contributing to a reputation for reliable and efficient service delivery within the local business community.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair malfunctioning commercial kitchen equipment, including ovens, grills, fryers, and refrigeration units.
- Perform preventative maintenance to ensure longevity and optimal performance of appliances.
- Source and order necessary parts, managing inventory and tracking expenses for each service call.
- Provide clear explanations of repair issues and solutions to business owners and managers.
- Maintain accurate service logs and reports, utilizing company software for scheduling and documentation.
- Offer remote technical assistance and troubleshooting for less complex issues when appropriate.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience in repairing various types of commercial appliances and refrigeration systems.
- Strong understanding of electrical, gas, and mechanical systems common in commercial kitchens.
- Ability to diagnose complex technical issues and implement effective repair solutions.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills for effective client interaction.
- Proficiency with diagnostic tools and basic computer skills for record-keeping.
- A valid driver's license and reliable transportation to reach client locations.
