Senior Geotechnical Engineer

Our client is looking for a capable Senior Geotechnical Engineer to deliver high-quality engineering solutions across mining infrastructure and industrial projects. This position is suited to a technically strong consultant who enjoys a combination of fieldwork analysis reporting and mentoring.

Requirements:

• 510 years consulting experience in geotechnical engineering.
• Practical experience with geotechnical site investigations.
• Sound knowledge of soil mechanics and geotechnical data analysis.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Experience with industry software such as Geo-Slope and Rocscience.
• Valid drivers licence.
• Willingness to travel locally and internationally and undertake site-based work.
• Professional registration with ECSA as a PrEng would be advantageous.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and supervise geotechnical investigations from planning through to field execution.
• Conduct site inspections geotechnical logging and profiling.
• Review and interpret geotechnical and laboratory data.
• Undertake foundation settlement and slope stability analyses.
• Assess retaining structures and contribute to earthworks design.
• Compile high-quality factual and interpretive geotechnical reports.
• Develop geotechnical design reports and provide technical recommendations.
• Support project teams during planning design and construction.
• Guide and mentor junior team members on technical geotechnical matters.
• Contribute to proposals client engagement and business development initiatives.
