Job description
Key Performance Areas
- Perform routine, preventive, and breakdown maintenance on utilities plant and equipment.
- Maintain, repair, and optimize utilities infrastructure to ensure efficient and uninterrupted factory operations.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose faults on electrical, mechanical and instrumentation systems
- Maintain and service water treatment plants, compressed air plants, boilers, ammonia refrigeration plants, cold rooms, freezer rooms, AHUs, cooling towers, and transformers.
- Conduct safety inspections and ensure compliance with maintenance and safety standards.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and equipment manuals to support maintenance activities.
- Respond to equipment breakdowns and provide after-hours support, including standby duties and callouts when required.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability, efficiency, and performance.
Knowledge & Skills
- Qualified Electrician, Fitter or Millwright with a Trade Test certificate.
- Minimum of 8 years' post trade industrial maintenance experience.
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills, particularly with electrical and instrumentation networks.
- Experience conducting safety inspections and maintenance in industrial environments.
- Knowledge of utilities systems including water treatment plants, compressed air plants, boilers, ammonia refrigeration plants, cold rooms, freezer rooms, AHUs, cooling towers, and transformers.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and perform effectively under pressure.
- Willingness to participate in standby duties and after-hours callouts as required.
