About the Role

Our client is seeking a creative and engaging Social Media & PR Coordinator for a part-time, hybrid role in Polokwane . You will be responsible for managing the company's social media presence and assisting with public relations activities. This role requires a blend of creativity for content creation and organizational skills for PR support. You'll help build our brand's online community and contribute to positive media relations, working both remotely and from our Polokwane office to meet communication goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and schedule engaging content for all social media platforms.
• Monitor social media channels, respond to comments and messages, and foster community engagement.
• Assist in drafting social media posts, blog articles, and basic press materials.
• Support the PR team with media list management and event coordination.
• Track social media metrics and PR activities, contributing to performance reports.
• Stay up-to-date with social media trends and PR best practices.

Requirements

• Previous experience in social media management or a communications role.
• Strong understanding of various social media platforms and their best practices.
• Excellent written communication skills, with a knack for creative copywriting.
• Basic knowledge of PR principles and media outreach is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a hybrid setup.
• Certificate or Diploma in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
