About the Role
Our client is seeking a meticulous and skilled Electrical Design Drafter to support their engineering team in Paarl . In this role, you will be responsible for creating precise electrical drawings, schematics, and layouts based on engineering designs and specifications. Your accuracy and attention to detail will be crucial in translating complex technical requirements into clear, workable documentation. Key Responsibilities
- Produce detailed electrical drawings, schematics, single-line diagrams, and panel layouts using CAD software.
- Ensure all drawings comply with industry standards, company specifications, and relevant South African regulations.
- Collaborate with electrical engineers to clarify design intent and incorporate feedback into drawings.
- Maintain and update drawing databases, ensuring version control and accessibility.
- Assist in the preparation of bill of materials (BOMs) based on finalized designs.
- Support the project team with drafting-related queries and revisions as needed.
Requirements
- National Diploma or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering or Draughting.
- Proven experience as an Electrical Drafter or CAD Technician.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, with experience in electrical drawing packages.
- Understanding of electrical symbols, components, and conventions.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in producing technical drawings.
- Good organizational skills and ability to manage multiple drawing tasks effectively.
