About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Childhood Educator to join their vibrant childcare center in Johannesburg . This role is crucial in fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children, supporting their cognitive, social, and emotional development. You will work collaboratively with a team of educators to implement an engaging curriculum that caters to the diverse needs of each child, ensuring a safe, inclusive, and fun learning experience. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities that promote learning and development in line with the curriculum framework.
• Observe and document children's progress, interests, and developmental milestones, providing regular feedback to parents.
• Ensure a safe, clean, and stimulating classroom environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
• Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues, promoting effective communication and collaboration.
• Manage classroom routines and behavior effectively, creating a positive and respectful learning atmosphere.
• Supervise children during indoor and outdoor play, mealtimes, and rest periods.

Requirements

• Relevant qualification in Early Childhood Development (ECD) or a related field.
• Proven experience working with young children in a childcare setting.
• Strong understanding of child development principles and best practices in early childhood education.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and adapt to changing needs within the center.
• Current First Aid and CPR certification is advantageous.
