Project Manager - Software Development

About the Role

Our client is looking for a proactive and experienced Project Manager to lead their software development projects in Klerksdorp. You will guide agile teams through the entire software development lifecycle, ensuring timely delivery of high‑quality products that meet client needs and business objectives. This role requires a deep understanding of software development processes, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships. You will be instrumental in fostering a collaborative team environment, whether working on‑site or remotely, driving innovation and ensuring successful project outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the planning, execution, and delivery of software development projects using Agile methodologies.
• Facilitate sprint planning, daily stand‑ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
• Collaborate with product owners, developers, QA testers, and other stakeholders to define project scope and requirements.
• Monitor project progress, identify and address risks and impediments, and ensure timely delivery of software releases.
• Manage project budgets, resources, and timelines effectively.
• Communicate project status, updates, and key decisions to stakeholders regularly.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; PMP or CSM certification is a plus.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, specifically within software development environments.
• Proven experience with Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban) and project management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence).
• Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
• Experience managing hybrid or distributed teams is beneficial.
