Remote Chemical Process Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Remote Chemical Process Engineer to join their advanced manufacturing team. This position is fully remote, allowing you to contribute to critical process design and optimization projects from anywhere. You will be responsible for analyzing, designing, and improving chemical processes to enhance efficiency, safety, and sustainability. Working collaboratively with a global team of engineers and scientists, you will leverage state-of-the-art tools and methodologies to tackle complex challenges and drive innovation in chemical production. This role offers the perfect blend of technical challenge and remote work flexibility.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, simulate, and optimize chemical processes using industry-standard software tools (e.g., Aspen Plus, HYSYS).
• Develop detailed process flow diagrams (PFDs) and piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs) for new and existing facilities.
• Conduct feasibility studies and technical evaluations for process upgrades and new technology implementations.
• Perform Process Hazard Analyses (PHAs) and implement safety measures to ensure compliance with regulations.
• Troubleshoot operational issues and develop effective solutions to improve plant performance and product quality.
• Collaborate effectively with remote teams, project managers, and external vendors to ensure project success.

Requirements

• B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Chemical Engineering .
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in chemical process design, simulation, and operations.
• Proficiency in process simulation software and thermodynamic modeling .
• Strong understanding of unit operations, reaction engineering, and safety principles.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with proven ability in remote collaboration.
• Experience with project management methodologies is advantageous.
