Remote Agronomist Consultant

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly experienced Remote Agronomist Consultant to provide expert advice and strategic guidance to farmers and agricultural businesses worldwide. This is a fully remote, contract-based position where you will leverage your deep knowledge of soil science, crop physiology, and sustainable farming practices to help clients optimize their yields, improve resource management, and enhance overall farm profitability. You will conduct virtual assessments, develop tailored recommendations, and deliver insights through digital platforms. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver with a passion for agricultural innovation and the ability to communicate complex agronomic principles clearly and effectively to diverse audiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide expert agronomic advice on crop selection, planting techniques, soil health management, and nutrient application.
• Conduct virtual field assessments and analyze data related to soil conditions, weather patterns, and crop performance.
• Develop customized crop management plans and provide recommendations for pest and disease control strategies.
• Advise clients on the implementation of sustainable and precision agriculture practices to improve efficiency and reduce environmental impact.
• Prepare detailed reports and presentations outlining findings, recommendations, and projected outcomes for clients.
• Stay current with agricultural research, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes affecting the industry.

Requirements

• Advanced degree (M.Sc. or Ph.D.) in Agronomy , Crop Science, Soil Science, or a closely related agricultural discipline.
• Minimum of 7 years of practical experience in agronomy, crop consulting, or agricultural extension services.
• Demonstrated expertise in a variety of crops and farming systems.
• Proficiency in using agricultural software, data analysis tools, and virtual communication platforms.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical information to farmers and stakeholders.
• Self-motivated with a strong ability to manage projects and client relationships remotely.
