Telecoms Solutions Architect

About the Role

Our client is seeking an innovative and experienced Telecoms Solutions Architect to join their prestigious organization based in Cape Town. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and architecture of complex telecommunications solutions, encompassing voice, data, and converged networks.
• Evaluate new technologies and vendor solutions, providing recommendations for adoption and integration into the existing infrastructure.
• Develop detailed technical specifications, design documents, and implementation plans for network projects.
• Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to ensure successful deployment and ongoing support of designed solutions.
• Provide expert technical guidance and consultation to internal teams and external partners.
• Assess network capacity and performance, recommending upgrades and optimizations to meet future demands in Cape Town.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 10+ years of experience in telecommunications, with at least 5 years in a solutions architect or senior network design role.
• Deep understanding of IP networking, MPLS, SD-WAN, 5G, cloud networking, and unified communications.
• Proven ability to design highly available and disaster-resilient network architectures.
• Experience with network virtualization, SDN, and NFV technologies.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
