Aircraft Quality Inspector

About the Role

Our client is looking for a diligent and experienced Aircraft Quality Inspector to join their maintenance and operations team in Vereeniging . In this critical role, you will be responsible for ensuring that all aircraft maintenance and repair work performed meets the highest standards of quality, safety, and regulatory compliance. You will conduct thorough inspections, verify documentation, and identify any non-conformities, playing a vital part in upholding the airworthiness of the fleet. The ideal candidate is meticulous, possesses strong technical knowledge, and is committed to maintaining excellence in aviation safety and standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform detailed inspections of aircraft, components, and maintenance work carried out by technicians.
• Verify that all maintenance activities comply with Airworthiness Directives , manufacturer's specifications, and regulatory requirements.
• Review and approve maintenance records, logbooks, and technical documentation for accuracy and completeness.
• Identify and document any discrepancies, non-conformities, or defects found during inspections.
• Ensure that all tools, equipment, and facilities used in maintenance meet required standards.
• Collaborate with maintenance teams to ensure timely resolution of quality issues and implement corrective actions.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an Aircraft Quality Inspector or in a similar quality assurance role within aviation.
• In-depth knowledge of aircraft systems, structures, and maintenance procedures.
• Familiarity with aviation regulatory requirements (e.g., South African Civil Aviation Authority standards).
• Strong understanding of quality control principles and inspection techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and engineering drawings .
• Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to make sound judgments.
