Industrial Engineer - Process Optimization

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated Industrial Engineer with a focus on Process Optimization to join their team in Pretoria . This role is integral to enhancing operational efficiency, reducing costs, and improving product quality through systematic analysis and redesign of manufacturing and business processes. You will work on a hybrid model, allowing for both on-site collaboration and remote analysis, leveraging data-driven insights to implement sustainable improvements. Key Responsibilities

• Analyze current operational workflows and identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction.


• Design, develop, and implement new or revised processes, systems, and layouts to maximize efficiency and output.


• Utilize statistical analysis and simulation tools to model process changes and predict outcomes.


• Develop and document standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions for implemented processes.


• Collaborate with production teams, management, and other departments to ensure smooth implementation and adoption of new processes.


• Monitor process performance post-implementation and make necessary adjustments for continuous optimization.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related discipline.


• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in process engineering , focusing on optimization and efficiency improvements.


• Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies.


• Proficiency in data analysis, statistical software (e.g., Minitab), and process simulation tools.


• Excellent problem-solving abilities and a methodical approach to task execution.


• Effective communication skills for stakeholder engagement and report generation.
