Sports Marketing Manager

About the Role

Our client is seeking a strategic and creative Sports Marketing Manager to drive brand visibility and engagement for their sports initiatives in Stellenbosch . This role involves developing and executing comprehensive marketing strategies across various channels to promote sports events, teams, and athletes. You will be responsible for managing sponsorships, digital marketing campaigns, public relations, and media partnerships. This is a key position for someone with a passion for sports, a strong understanding of marketing principles, and a proven ability to deliver impactful campaigns.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement integrated marketing and communication strategies for sports properties and events.
• Manage and grow sponsorship relationships , identifying new opportunities and ensuring fulfillment of contractual obligations.
• Oversee the creation and execution of digital marketing campaigns, including social media, content marketing, and email campaigns.
• Lead public relations efforts, including press releases, media outreach, and crisis communication management.
• Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and campaign performance to optimize marketing efforts and drive ROI.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Sports Management, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in sports marketing or a similar role, with a proven track record of success.
• Strong understanding of digital marketing, social media, PR, and event marketing.
• Excellent project management, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Demonstrated ability to manage budgets and measure campaign effectiveness.
