Role Description
Join our client’s team as a Chef! Mid Career level position in Hospitality & Catering sector. Permanent role based in JHB-Northern Suburbs.
POSITION INFO:
We are looking for a skilled Chef to join our small team at an exclusive establishment. As a Chef, you will be responsible for planning and directing food preparation, creating new and exciting menus, following specific dietary requirements, paying attention to presentation of food, delivering high quality dishes and managing kitchen staff. This role requires a creative flair, strong leadership skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional culinary experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Order stock
- Creating delicious healthy meals timeously
- Managing the kitchen
- Ability to create new menus
- Cost and monitor stock costs
- Pre preparation of meals
- Oversee and manage kitchen staff
- Maintain food safety and quality standards
- Ensuring cleanliness at the highest level of both the kitchen and dining area.
- Ability to work shifts and weekends
- Work in a team and willing to help in all areas.
- Own transport
Qualifications
- Culinary qualification or relevant certification
- Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Knowledge of food allergies
- Have managed a team
- Proven experience as a Chef
