Senior Civil Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a seasoned Senior Civil Engineer to contribute to major infrastructure and building projects in Bloemfontein . This role requires extensive technical expertise in civil engineering design, analysis, and project management, operating within a hybrid model that offers flexibility. You will lead design efforts, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, sustainable, and cost-effective solutions. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and analysis of civil engineering projects, including site development, infrastructure, and transportation systems.
• Develop detailed engineering plans, specifications, and reports, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively, often in coordination with remote team members.
• Conduct site investigations, feasibility studies, and technical reviews.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineering staff, fostering their professional development.
• Liaise with clients, government agencies, and other stakeholders to ensure project success.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Professional Engineer (Pr. Eng.) registration with ECSA is mandatory.
• Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in civil engineering design and project management.
• Expertise in geotechnical engineering , structural analysis, and water resource management.
• Proven ability to lead projects and teams in a hybrid work environment within Free State .
