About the Role

Our client is looking for a strategic and creative Senior Retail Merchandiser to join their dynamic team in Stellenbosch. This role is responsible for planning, developing, and executing compelling visual merchandising strategies that enhance product appeal, drive sales, and create an engaging in-store experience. You will work closely with the buying and marketing teams to translate brand vision into impactful visual displays across various retail environments. The ideal candidate possesses a strong understanding of consumer behavior, market trends, and a proven ability to create visually appealing and commercially successful store layouts in Stellenbosch.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive visual merchandising plans and guidelines for the retail stores.
• Create inspiring product displays, window presentations, and store layouts that maximize sales potential.
• Analyze sales data and customer feedback to identify trends and opportunities for merchandising improvements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including buying, marketing, and store operations.
• Train and guide store staff on visual merchandising standards and execution.

Requirements

• Significant experience as a Retail Merchandiser or Visual Display Designer, with a portfolio showcasing successful projects.
• Strong creative vision, aesthetic sensibility, and a deep understanding of visual merchandising principles.
• Proficiency in visual merchandising software and design tools is advantageous.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to analyze retail data and translate insights into actionable merchandising strategies.
