Our client seeks an experienced and dynamic English Second Language (ESL) Teacher to join their academic staff in Vereeniging. This role is crucial in supporting students from diverse linguistic backgrounds to develop fluency and proficiency in English, enabling them to succeed academically and socially. You will be responsible for designing and delivering effective ESL programs, assessing language acquisition, and creating an encouraging atmosphere for language learning. This hybrid role offers flexibility, combining in-person instruction with remote support and resources for students, making a significant impact on their educational journey within the Vereeniging community.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement engaging ESL curricula tailored to students' varying proficiency levels.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of students' speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills.
- Deliver interactive lessons using a variety of methodologies, including communicative language teaching.
- Provide individualized support and feedback to help students overcome language barriers.
- Integrate technology and multimedia resources to enhance language learning experiences.

Requirements
- A recognized degree and a TESOL, TEFL, or CELTA certification.
- Proven experience teaching English as a Second Language to diverse age groups or levels.
- Strong understanding of language acquisition theories and best practices.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to adapt teaching strategies for both in-person and online environments.
- Proficiency in relevant educational technology tools.
