Paralegal - Litigation Support

About the Role

Our client is seeking a meticulous and proactive Paralegal to provide essential litigation support to their legal team in Paarl. This hybrid role involves assisting attorneys with case preparation, document management, and client communication, contributing significantly to the successful resolution of legal disputes. You will work in a supportive environment, gaining valuable experience across various litigation matters. Key Responsibilities

• Assist attorneys in preparing for trials, hearings, and depositions.
• Organize and manage case files, pleadings, discovery documents, and exhibits.
• Conduct legal research, summarize findings, and assist in drafting legal documents.
• Communicate with clients, courts, and opposing counsel under attorney supervision.
• Manage discovery processes, including document review and production.
• Prepare timelines, summaries, and other materials to support litigation strategy.
• Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to all ethical standards.

Requirements

• Completed Paralegal diploma or equivalent legal qualification.
• Proven experience in litigation support or as a legal assistant in a litigation practice.
• Strong understanding of litigation procedures and legal terminology.
• Excellent organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
• Proficiency in legal research tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a hybrid model.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
