About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced and strategic Telecoms Network Operations Manager to oversee their critical network operations centre in Paarl . This leadership role is responsible for ensuring the optimal performance, availability, and security of the company's telecommunications network infrastructure. You will lead a team of skilled technicians and engineers, manage incident response, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. This is a pivotal position for a results-driven leader committed to maintaining exceptional service delivery within the Western Cape .
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, manage, and mentor the Network Operations team, fostering a high-performance culture.
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the network, ensuring uptime and service quality targets are met.
- Develop and implement robust incident management and problem-solving processes.
- Manage network capacity planning, performance monitoring, and proactive issue resolution.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless integration of network services.
- Drive the implementation of new technologies and process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; Master's preferred.
- 8+ years of experience in telecommunications network operations, with at least 3 years in a management or supervisory role.
- Strong understanding of network protocols, technologies, and infrastructure management.
- Proven ability to lead and motivate technical teams in a demanding operational environment.
- Experience with network monitoring tools, ticketing systems, and ITIL best practices.
- Excellent strategic planning, decision-making, and communication skills.
