Electrical Technician - Power Systems

Our client is seeking a proficient Electrical Technician to support their operations in Benoni , focusing on power systems maintenance and installation. Key Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical equipment, including switchgear, transformers, motors, and control panels.
• Perform diagnostic tests and troubleshoot electrical faults to ensure operational efficiency and safety.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics , blueprints, and technical manuals.
• Assist in the commissioning of new electrical installations and systems.
• Ensure adherence to all safety regulations and company policies during electrical work.
• Document maintenance activities, repairs, and test results accurately.

Requirements

• National Diploma or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as an Electrical Technician , preferably in an industrial or power systems environment.
• Strong knowledge of electrical theory, power distribution, and safety procedures.
• Proficiency in using electrical testing equipment (e.g., multimeters, oscilloscopes).
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings and specifications.
• Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively, with some remote planning tasks.
