About the Role

Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Leisure and Sports Manager to oversee operations and programming at their facilities in Midrand . You will be responsible for developing and implementing innovative sports and leisure activities, ensuring high levels of member engagement, and managing a dedicated team. This role requires a strategic thinker with a passion for promoting health, wellness, and community through exceptional sporting experiences. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic plans for all leisure and sports programs and events.
• Manage the day-to-day operations of sports facilities, including scheduling, maintenance, and resource allocation.
• Lead, train, and motivate a team of sports instructors, coaches, and administrative staff.
• Create and manage budgets, ensuring financial targets are met and resources are utilized effectively.
• Foster partnerships with local sports clubs, schools, and community organizations to expand program reach and engagement.
• Implement marketing and promotional strategies to attract new members and retain existing ones.

Requirements

• Proven experience in sports management or a related field, with a strong understanding of leisure program development.
• Bachelor's degree in Sports Management, Recreation, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
• Demonstrated leadership skills with experience managing teams and budgets.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
