Senior Accountant

SUMMARY:
An established organisation based in Pretoria is seeking a dedicated Senior Accountant to join its finance team. This opportunity is ideal for a hands-on accounting professional with strong Pastel experience and a solid background in financial reporting, reconciliations, and month-end processes.

POSITION INFO:
Job Description: The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and general ledger accounts. Key duties include preparing customer quotations, performing bank, creditor, debtor, and balance sheet reconciliations, preparing annual financial statements, managing accounts payable and receivable, processing journals and month-end\/year-end entries, assisting with budgeting and cash flow management, and working closely with management to improve financial controls and reporting processes. Skills & Experience: Minimum of 3 years' experience in an role Minimum of 3 years' hands-on experience using Pastel Accounting Software Experience preparing financial statements, supplier reconciliations, and month-end processes Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting Proficiency in Pastel Accounting Software Advanced Microsoft Excel skills Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities High level of accuracy and attention to detail Strong organisational and time management skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Ability to handle confidential financial information with integrity Qualification: Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, , or a related field SAIPA, SAICA, CIMA, ACCA, or similar professional designation will be advantageous but is not essential Connect with us on and Register your CV to create a profile and view all our Financial recruitment vacancies.
