Senior Telecom Network Administrator

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly experienced Senior Telecom Network Administrator to join their fully remote IT operations team. This crucial role involves overseeing the stability, performance, and security of our client's extensive telecommunications network infrastructure. You will be responsible for the day-to-day management, troubleshooting, and optimization of voice and data networks, ensuring seamless connectivity for all internal and external communications. Key Responsibilities

• Administer, monitor, and maintain voice and data network infrastructure, including PBX systems, VoIP gateways, routers, and switches .
• Perform regular system updates, patch management, and security configuration to protect network integrity.
• Troubleshoot and resolve network connectivity and performance issues in a timely manner, minimizing downtime.
• Develop and implement network policies, procedures, and best practices for efficient operations.
• Manage network access controls, user accounts, and security settings to ensure data confidentiality and system integrity.
• Provide technical support and guidance to junior administrators and end-users on telecommunication systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in telecommunications network administration .
• In-depth knowledge of VoIP technologies , protocols (SIP, H.323), and PBX systems.
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, LAN/WAN technologies, and network security principles.
• Experience with network monitoring tools and performance analysis techniques.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote setting.
