Conveyancing Secretary (Bonds) Based in CBD, Cape Town
An established law firm based in Cape Town CBD is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Conveyancing Secretary – Bonds to join their team.
The successful candidate will have strong Bond Conveyancing experience and ideally have worked with Private Banking clients and transactions. Experience dealing with FNB and/or RMB will be a distinct advantage.
Key Responsibilities
Managing the Bond Registration process from instruction through to registration
Opening and maintaining conveyancing files
Attending to correspondence with clients, banks, bond attorneys and relevant stakeholders
Preparing and processing bond registration documentation
Liaising with FNB / RMB and other financial institutions
Following up on outstanding documentation and requirements
Ensuring all matters are progressed within required timeframes
Monitoring deadlines and providing regular updates on matters
Providing professional and efficient service to clients
General conveyancing administration and support to the Attorney
Minimum Requirements
Previous experience as a Conveyancing Secretary – Bonds
Solid understanding of the Bond Registration process
Experience working with Private Banking clients will be highly advantageous
FNB and/or RMB experience will be a strong advantage
Excellent administrative and organisational skills
Strong attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines
Professional communication and client service skills
Ability to work independently as well as within a team
Previous experience within a law firm / conveyancing department
