Key Performance Areas

• Facilitate and coordinate clinical training and development programmes for nursing staff.
• Provide education, mentoring, and support to nursing staff within the clinical environment.
• Assess and monitor clinical competencies and identify training needs.
• Ensure staff maintain the required clinical knowledge, skills, and competencies.
• Support the implementation of evidence-based nursing practices.
• Promote patient safety and high-quality standards of nursing care.
• Provide guidance and support to staff regarding clinical practices and procedures.
• Conduct competency assessments and provide constructive feedback.
• Assist with the development and implementation of educational programmes and training materials.
• Monitor staff performance and provide appropriate coaching and mentorship.
• Promote effective communication and teamwork within the clinical environment.
• Support continuous professional development and learning initiatives.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives within the clinical environment.
• Ensure compliance with relevant nursing standards, policies, and procedures.
• Work collaboratively with nursing management and multidisciplinary teams to promote clinical excellence.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in General Nursing (Essential).
• Post Basic Diploma in Critical Care Nursing (Essential).
• Qualification in Nursing Education and Administration (Essential).
• Registered with SANC.
• 5+ years’ experience in a Clinical Facilitating environment.
• Strong facilitation, mentoring, and clinical competency assessment skills.
