A leading, well-established South African Financial Services firm located in the picturesque region of Paarl is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Paraplanner to join their dynamic team.
In this pivotal role, you will provide comprehensive financial planning support and efficient administrative backup to Financial Advisers. You will manage a designated portfolio of clients, assist with processing transactions, draft technical advice documents, handle direct client engagement, and maintain account relationships.
Financial Planning & Analysis: Formulate effective financial planning and risk management documents tailored to client needs, objectives, and risk tolerances. Draft Statement of Advice (SOA) documents in line with compliance, legislative guidelines, and company standards.
Portfolio & Risk Reviews: Conduct reviews of customer portfolios and risk coverage against market movements, life changes, and product updates. Ensure investment strategies align with client objectives and prepare clear review reports.
Research & Information Gathering: Gather policy details, conduct product research, compile financial summaries, and prepare quotations.
Client Relationship Management: Serve as a key point of contact for solving client inquiries, maintaining CRM systems, and supporting ongoing relationship management.
Administrative & Workflow Support: Handle new business applications, manage diaries, track new business statistics, and prepare appointment schedules.
Education: BCom degree in Finance, Investments, Financial Planning, Financial Sciences, Investment Management, or Economics.
Postgraduate Qualification: CFP® status and/or Postgraduate Diploma in Financial Planning (Required).
Regulatory Exams: Valid RE5 Certificate.
Experience: Minimum 5 years of relevant experience within the financial services/wealth management industry.
Technical Skills: Fully computer literate (MS Office suite).
Mobility: Valid drivers license and reliable personal transport.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and research capabilities.
Excellent communication and client-centric interpersonal skills.
High level of attention to detail and organizational skill.
Ability to work independently with resilience in a fast-paced environment.
