About the Role

We are seeking a skilled, Qualified Electrician with strong industrial and panel-building experience to join a specialized engineering team. In this role, you will assemble, wire, test, and commission automated industrial machinery (including ovens, mixers, proofers, and conveyors) designed for the FMCG and food manufacturing sector.

This position offers a dynamic mix of workshop-based assembly/panel building and on-site commissioning, fault-finding, and installation at client facilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Assembly & Panel Building: Build and wire electrical control panels directly from engineering schematics. Execute full machine wiring, including sensor integration, cabling, VSDs/VFDs, soft starters, circuit breakers, and heavy-duty motors.
• Testing & Commissioning: Interpret electrical and pneumatic schematics to conduct thorough pre-commissioning tests and quality checks. Travel to client sites to lead installation, testing, and final sign-off.
• Fault-Finding & Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve electrical, pneumatic, and automation faults efficiently.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with mechanical technicians on pneumatic integration and basic PLC troubleshooting (Siemens, Mitsubishi, or Omron).
• Safety & Compliance: Strictly adhere to LOTO (Lockout/Tagout), arc flash safety standards, and food-grade hygienic design requirements.

Requirements

• Qualification: Red Seal / Trade Tested Qualified Electrician.
• Experience: 3 to 5 years of post-apprenticeship experience in an industrial or manufacturing machinery environment.
• Technical Skills: High proficiency with control panels, 3-phase systems, high-amp machinery, VSD configuration, diagnostic tools, and electrical/pneumatic schematics.
• Automation Exposure: Hands-on experience or familiarity with PLC fault-finding (Siemens, Mitsubishi, or Omron) is highly advantageous.
• Licensing & Travel: Valid drivers license, willing to travel to client sites, and available for occasional overtime/weekend work to meet commissioning deadlines.

Working Conditions

• Split between factory workshop assembly and client site installations.
• Occasional overtime and weekend work required during active commissioning phases.
