CA (SA)

Minimum requirements:

• CA(SA) qualification with a current and valid SAICA registration
• Minimum 35 years post-qualification experience
• Solid understanding of IFRS, the Companies Act, taxation and applicable financial regulations
• Exposure to Prudential Authority requirements and regulatory reporting would be advantageous
• Strong technical accounting and financial reporting capability
• Advanced Excel and sound proficiency in accounting/ERP systems
• Highly organised, deadline-focused and able to manage competing priorities
• Willingness to assist with additional responsibilities when required
• Ability to perform effectively in a high-pressure environment

Financial Accounting & Reporting

• Overall responsibility for group accounting, monthly management accounts and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance
• Manage audits, financial controls, governance, invoicing, broker commissions, payments and financial reporting to management and the Board

Commercial & Financial Planning

• Provide financial analysis, forecasting, budgeting and modelling to support strategic business decisions
• Monitor performance, profitability and financial risks while identifying opportunities to improve financial efficiency and sustainability

Cash Flow, Treasury & Risk

• Manage cash flow, working capital, banking relationships and daily treasury requirements
• Identify financial and operational risks and oversee appropriate mitigation, insurance and reinsurance arrangements

Tax, Regulatory & Statutory Compliance

• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, legislation and regulatory requirements, including VAT, PAYE, income tax and statutory submissions
• Liaise with SARS, auditors and regulatory authorities, including Prudential Authority matters and regulatory changes

Governance & Stakeholder Management

• Maintain strong financial governance, accountability, internal controls and regulatory compliance across the organisation
• Provide financial insight to senior management and the Board while managing relationships with auditors, regulators, SARS, banks and outsourced providers

Key Competencies

• Strong technical accounting, commercial, analytical and problem-solving skills with advanced Excel and ERP/financial systems knowledge
• Strategic yet hands-on, with strong governance, communication, accuracy, integrity, ownership and professional judgement
• Resilient, self-motivated and able to prioritise effectively while meeting demanding deadlines and working under pressure
