Intermediate AI Automation Engineer

SUMMARY:
An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Intermediate Automation Engineer to join a forward-thinking engineering environment focused on leveraging AI and automation to transform business operations.
This role offers the opportunity to work directly with business stakeholders across multiple departments, identifying opportunities to streamline processes, improve efficiency, and deliver impactful AI-powered solutions. In this role, the ideal candidate will own automation projects from concept through deployment while helping build and enhance an advanced internal AI platform.

POSITION INFO:
Key Duties & Responsibilities: Design, develop, and implement AI-driven automation solutions. Analyse business processes and identify automation opportunities. Integrate systems and applications using APIs. Build and maintain workflows, automation agents, and AI platforms. Collaborate with stakeholders across multiple departments. Monitor, optimise, and support deployed solutions. Essential Experience & Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field. 3 to 5 years' experience in software development, automation, , or a related technical discipline. Hands-on experience building AI or Large Language Model (LLM) solutions, including: Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) Agent-based workflows Automation pipelines Strong Python development skills. Experience with at least one additional programming language such as Java, TypeScript, or C#. Experience integrating enterprise systems via APIs. Working knowledge of: Linux environments Containerisation technologies CI\/CD pipelines Version control systems Production monitoring tools Understanding of Agile, Scrum, and DevOps methodologies. Ability to engage effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
